Abstract
TESTING SPEED AND POWER VARIATIONS IN CUTTING POLY-VINLY CHLORIDE (PVC) MATERIAL USING A LASER CUTTING MACHINE WITH 60 WATT CAPACITY Disusun Oleh : Fatkhul Azis 20020048 ABSTRACT Laser Cutting is a Material cutting technology using laser power. This technology has been widely used by the manufacturing industry, apart from that it is also used by the world of education, small businesses and hobbyists. Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser through optics. The focused laser beam is directed at the Material, which will then melt the Material. To get good cutting results using laser cutting, you need to adjust the power and speed parameters, therefore the researchers used line mode with speed parameters of 1-10 and 5 - 20 mm/s and power parameters 10-100%, the results of the first test process at speed 1 and power from 10 - 100% the results are burnt, for speeds 2-10 the results are cut but there is burnt Material, test results at speed 5 - 10 and power 10 - 100% PVC is all cut and at speed 12 power 70 - 100% is cut while at power 10 - 60 it is not cut, for speed 13-20 with power 10 - 100% PVC is not cut, from the test results it can be concluded that the line mode test can be cuts optimally and doesn't burn, namely with speed parameters of 3 and 4 mm/s and power parameters of 50-80%.
