Abstract
ABSTRACT Amelia, Nur Wida; Susiyarti; Tivani, Inur., 2023. Formulation and Stability Test of Lipstick Preparations from Combination of Beetroot Extract (Beta vulgaris L) and Fig Extract (Ficus carica L). Beetroot and figs can be used as cosmetics, one of which is as lipstick. Beetroot contains betacyanin pigment and figs contain flavonoids. The purpose of this research was to make lipstick by utilizing natural dyes contained in beets and figs. The research method used laboratory experiments with maceration extraction methods. Samples used beets and figs which were taken by simple random sampling technique. The data analysis technique used was qualitative with data analysis using SPSS One Way Anova. The results of the research produced lipstick with a soft texture, the lipstick has good smearing power, pH test results are FI (7), FII (7) (6). The results of the irritation test of the lipstick preparation showed no irritant reaction in the panelists. The conclusion of this study is that lipstick preparations affect the physical stability of lipstick, namely hardness and melting point tests. Keywords: beetroot, combination,fig, lipstick
